New Holistic Help for Special Education Advocacy
Dianne R. Gaudiose
Parents of children or young adults with disabilities can find the journey of navigating the special education maze an arduous and exhausting endeavor. It often seems as though they need to learn a foreign language in order to effectively advocate for their children. The playing field is not a level one; it can leave parents feeling frustrated and searching for answers. Luckily, there is a new local resource to help parents find a straight path to the best available services for their child’s unique needs. Special Education & Advocacy Services, LLC, actually partners with parents to make a positive difference for kids in our community.
Dianne R. Gaudiose, MEd, opened Special Education & Advocacy Services, LLC to serve the needs of parents of children with disabilities. Gaudiose is a former special education administrator experienced in dealing with the difficult challenges that impact the lives of these children and their families. She integrates a holistic approach to problem solving and unraveling the root causes of specific learning or behavioral issues as opposed to simply addressing symptoms in isolation. Gaudiose is intrigued by the gut/brain connection and incorporates this approach and her knowledge of it into her practice. As with any disability, early diagnosis and intervention are the keys to unlocking the door to success.
