Yoga Director Graduates Training Program
Nora Vimala Pozzi
Nora Vimala Pozzi, director of the Integral Yoga Center of Richmond, yoga trainer and yoga therapist, recently graduated from a six-month Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT) Group Therapy Facilitation Training program.
Pozzi’s eight-week program "Find Peace," offered in the spring, was her "thesis" to facilitate a therapeutic modality that focuses on empowering and affirming participants in their search for their own truth through yoga asanas, breath, centering, meditation, integration and a "speaking circle".
Each week the class focused on a different theme: Befriending the Body, Awareness, Acceptance, Choice, Discernment, Finding Your Truth, Truth in Action and Flow. Learning how to listen mindfully without judging helps individuals own their own life issues and stories, discovering how they affect each aspect of their lives.
One participant commented, “My participation in the PRYT group has been affirming and enlightening. It has provided an opportunity to delve systematically into a deeper understanding of my relationships and of myself.”
Another eight-week PRYT group therapy program, "Find Peace," is currently underway and will be offered again in September. The cost is $258 and includes a full-day Silent Retreat, Home Practice manual with CD, a copy of Michael Lee's "Turn Stress into Bliss" (on which the program is based) and a complementary individual PRYT session.
