The Integral Yoga Center of Richmond recently graduated 15 students enrolled in their six-month, 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training program: Amy Bracken, Anne Fletcher, Annie Ward Love, Beth Coakley, Belinda Todd, Carol  Mahan, Cynthia Oliver Butler, Jyoti Sinanian, Jodi Urban, Jonnie Corbett, Kerry  Mitchell, Martha Childress, Mere Carle, Nina  Ivey and Taylor Whitehouse. Several of the graduates are joining the teaching staff for summer classes.

The course, taught by Nora Pozzi, director and lead trainer, and assisted by Raam Daas and eight mentors, included a three-month study of yoga philosophy and interfaith studies offered during weekly classes, monthly workshops, a four-day Yoga Immersion Retreat and final graduation day at Yogaville. The training also included asanas, yogic diet and adapting yoga to special populations. The basic guiding principle of this course was the practice of “Self-Inquiry” through daily journaling, class sharing and homework.
