Chris Reiffer, the “Down Under Doula”, started her career as a doula in Australia in 2015 when her family was stationed there for her husband’s job in the military. After returning to the U.S., she was certified by ProDoula in 2017 and has added Newborn Care Specialist to her list of credentials to help better serve her clients. When her husband retired from the Marine Corps last year, their family decided to make Richmond their home.

            A mother of four, Reiffer provides birth and postpartum support for the whole family. She lovingly and expertly helps families prepare to welcome a new baby, including prenatal appointments, birth plans, comfort techniques, birthing positions, breathing and relaxation strategies, breastfeeding, childbirth education and connections with important community resources.
