Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 and the Poe Museum, in connection with the Virginia Tourism Corporation, will present Poe’s Birthday Bash 2024 from 4 to 10 p.m., January 20, with a keynote talk by Professor Scott Peeples, author of The Man of the Crowd: Edgar Allan Poe and the City, live music, drinks and food.

Entertainment includes The Coldharts performing excerpts from their critically-acclaimed shows, Edgar Allan and Eddie Poe, smooth jazz from Charles Owens Trio, and The Embalmers. Local craft beer by Garden Grove Brewing, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be for sale. Elevated Mexican street food from TBT El Gallo will be onsite to satisfy culinary cravings and The Sweets Bar will be providing the treats.
