Beginner Qigong Class at Living Water Center
This beginner Qigong class covers basic movement and breathing. Qigong is the ancient Chinese art of "energy skill" for health and longevity and includes mindful movements coordinated with breathing.
This class meets every Monday from 5:30 to 6:45 pm and is open to anyone wishing to develop a Qigong practice. We'll explore this wonderful aspect of Chinese medicine as a path to increased vitality, health and longevity, as well as spiritual growth. Qigong is an ancient practice which combines graceful movements with abdominal breathing and mindfulness, allowing us to connect with Nature and balance the body's circadian rhythms. Benefits of Qigong include a strengthened immune system, greater balance and flexibility, and emotional balance; often after doing Qigong one will want to smile spontaneously! This class will focus on a set of Qigong called the Eight Brocades, one of the most widely practiced and beneficial forms of Qigong.
